The LIT - Leibniz Institute for Immunotherapy (foundation under civil law) (https://lit.eu/) – is a biomedical research center focusing on translational immunology in the fields of cancer immunotherapy, transplant rejection and autoimmunity. The objective of the LIT is to develop innovative and efficient cellular immune therapeutics in these areas. Our own GMP laboratories and close networking with University and University Hospital offer excellent opportunities for clinical translation of novel immune cell products. The Flow Cytometry Core Facility is recruiting a highly motivated # BTA, MTA oder CTA (m/f/d) – CG-2026-2 (full time, 40.1 hours per week) The position is initially limited to two years with the possibility of extension. The Flow Cytometric Cell Analytics and Cell Sorting Core Facility at the LIT offers research groups from the LIT, the University Hospital of Regensburg (UKR), and the University of Regensburg (UR) the opportunity to identify and characterize individual cell populations and to isolate them in a targeted manner, thus making them accessible for further downstream analysis. In addition, the facility offers advice and support for beginners and advanced users on flow cytometry-related questions and problems, such as the selection of appropriate fluorochromes, the creation of staining panels and the optimization of gating strategies. We are now looking for a highly motivated technical assistant with excitement for flow cytometry, sophisticated instruments, organizational/administrative skills and a stong service mentality who is excited to enrich our facility. The facility hosts state-of-the art sorters and analyzers. The community of users is highly international and covers a range of scientific topics within and associated with Immunology. Your tasks include, but are not limited to: - Daily operation of the sorting machines - Monitor and maintain the equipment in the facility, including arriving spectral cytometers. This includes quality control and cleaning of equipment. - Reagent and consumables management, including planning, tracking and ordering of reagents and preparation of solutions and reagents - Documentation, SOP and data management, including tracking and recording of instrument usage per user, creating and updating protocols for instruments, data backup and transfer to sorter users - User support, including assisting users with scheduling of experiments, training experienced users for independent equipment usage of sorting machines and their software, expert advice to users - Support for research initiatives of the facility, e.g. assisting flow cytometry-related research projects, assay development, promote the facility’s scientific work - Management of facility waste, including autoclaving and coordination of waste disposal - Ensure smooth operation of the facility **The ideal candidate possesses:** - Completed education as BTA, MTA or CTA - Experience in handling of live cells, advanced equipment, flow cytometry - High affinity for and ideally experience with work with sophisticated equipment, incuding equipment maintenance and trouble-shooting - Experience in providing training - Self-motivated person with an intrinsic service mentality, a collaborative attitude and the drive to advance the research within the institute - Reliable and precise work style, high degree of independence - Good organizational and administrative skills - Good inter-personal skills, good communication skills in English and German - Interest, and ideally also experience in working in an interdisciplinary and international environment **We offer:** - An international cutting-edge research environment that offers exciting and diverse opportunities - Flat hierarchies and short decision-making processes - A highly motivated and cooperative team - Flexible working hours - Job ticket and excellent benefits - Excellent funding situation and state-of-the-art equipment The remuneration is based on TV-L.
